Memorial Day
This was the best time of the year for me when I was a child. The end of May included my birthday - and school being out three months for the summer break. Oh yeah, life was good! Photograph is the track team at Woodrow Wilson primary school, Shawnee, Oklahoma,1964.

Red Door
This is the door on the house behind mine. Word has it this odd group of buildings was headquarters of HEB grocery stores in Austin, back in the 50's or 60's. I'm not sure about that, but I do like this weird little compound!

Trash Day
I was lying in bed this morning when I heard the trash truck coming down my street. I jumped out of bed, threw on some clothes and ran outside, barely making it to the street with my trash before the t-men arrived. Whew!
